    Feed the Need 2009

    When: October 12-16

The message is simple. A drastic number of Americans need food they simply can't afford. As tough economic times take their toll, increasing numbers of Americans are on tight budgets and, in some cases, facing outright hunger. As a result, they may be learning a lot more about food banks and soup kitchens than most of them ever wanted to.

Donation Locations: Industrial Credit Union branches or Whatcom County Haggen location.

Cash Donations: Donations of cash, check and credit/debit cards (Chip-in only for cards) are greatly appreciated. Local food banks are able to stretch your dollars to great length through their unique food-buying programs. Please make checks payable to "Community Food Drive."

    Needed Items:

    • Any non-perishable food item, most importantly canned proteins, fruits and vegetables.
